In our other articles, we've spoken about buying rights to products from other
people and then selling those products as your own. While this is a very
effective method in internet marketing, it's not the only one. A lot of internet
marketers are turning to creating their own products and then selling them. It's
an age old way of doing business, but was abandoned by internet marketing. Now
it is becoming popular again because of how effective it is. You'll learn how to
create your own information product in this article.
The Five Steps for Information Product Creation
Step #1: Research
All successful products are effective for one simple reason: they're popular.
These products are in a niche which people seem to eat up. When you decide to
create your own product, you need to know what niches are popular and easy to
market, and which are not. That's why you should take a considerable amount of
time to research. A common way of doing this is to come up with a list of 10
possible niche topics for your product. Once you do this, take each topic and
research it. Try to see how popular it is in search engines like Google. As you
do this, write down its ranking next to the topic. Then pick a topic that falls
in between—one that is not the least popular, but also not the most popular. You
don't want to do an ebook on a topic that is well-saturated, but also don't want
to do one on a topic that is not popular at all.
Step #2: Choose a Product
Next, you can go ahead with picking the product. As we said in the last step, be
sure to pick something that is not already being done by thousands of other
internet marketers. Instead, pick something that has the potential to be big but
isn't already.
Step #3: What Will You Write About?
Now that you know what topic the book will be on, it's time to decide what the
book will cover. For instance, if you're writing an ebook on the lottery, what
will the book tell people? Will it tell them about the history of the lottery,
or will it tell them how to win the lottery more often? Right after you come up
with the topic of the book, you can also create a title. Aim for a title that is
short, but memorable.
Step #4: Write the eBook
After you've developed a table of contents, it's time to begin
writing the ebook.
You may find it helpful to first read other ebooks and/or articles on the
subject (particularly if you're not that familiar with it) and then begin the
writing process. This allows you to really learn a lot about the topic so that
you can really write a good and helpful ebook.
Step #5: Revise
Most ebook writers go through a process of revision. They comb through the ebook
looking for errors, and if some are found, they are corrected. This helps to
ensure the most complete and error-free ebook possible. Be sure to set aside a
week or so to revise the ebook and, once you're done with that, you'll be able
to market the ebook and sell it to customers.
