There is actually software out there that can help you write and submit articles in a better, faster way. However, not all software is good. Here, we will discuss the available software that you might consider, as well as each type of software’s pros and cons.
Submission Software – There is only one type of article submission software that is acceptable to use. This software still requires you to manually submit your articles, but it saves time in that it keeps a compiled list of the article directories of your choice, keeps your username and password for each, and automatically fills in the form for the article submission. All you have to do is click.
This software is called Article Submitter, and you can find it by searching for “Article Submitter” in any search engine. This is definitely a time saver, and it is perfectly legal to use this software.
However, other types of submission software don’t work so well. This is because many of the article directories do not accept automated submissions – and they are set up to notice automated submissions when they occur.
Article Writing Software – Article writing software never works very well. The article never turns out to be what you expected. You actually save more time writing the thing yourself. Avoid anything that offers to turn out perfect articles for you.
Article Rewriting Software – Article rewriting software works somewhat better than article writing software, but it still has its flaws. The advantage is that you’ve already told the program everything that it needs to know. The program essentially just changes words in the sentences with words that have the same meaning.
This software works fairly well for article rewrites, but you will still need to read through the article when it’s finished to ensure that everything still makes sense. Often, it won’t, and you will need to make some minor changes.
Duplicate Checkers – You don’t want to submit duplicate articles. This becomes a problem when using PLR articles. You can use a program called Article Recon to check for duplicate articles that are floating around. It will check one article, or a file of articles.
This is a good thing to have when you are using ghostwriters, to ensure that you end up with original content. Most ghostwriters don’t plagiarize, but there are those handfuls that might. This is the easiest, fastest way to protect yourself from such, and to make sure that your rewritten articles are changed enough for submission as originals. You can get Article Recon from http://www.articlerecon.com.
Article Formatting Software – articles that are being distributed to article directories should not be formatted. Write them as they should appear, and that is the way that they will appear. For articles that will be published in ezines, however, formatting is needed, and the publishers that you work with will appreciate it if you format the articles for them.
Formatting articles used to be a giant pain in the you-know-what. That is no longer the case. You can use a neat little program called Ziney to format your articles to specified characters per line, and even change the font and font size on them. You can get a copy of Ziney from http://www.zineypro.com/.
Article Organization Software – Keeping your articles organized can be a chore. This is especially true when you write numerous articles ahead of time. You can use a program such as Promo Buddy, which will help you organize all of your promotional tasks and materials, including articles.
Promo Buddy includes databases for newsletters, articles, ad swaps, signature files, ezine directories, article directories, search engine submissions, start page programs, exit exchanges, reciprocal links, banner exchanges, PPC search engines, keyword lists, customers, purchased products, bookmarks, ebooks, headlines, logins, your products, contacts, idea generators, eBay auctions, MLM, forums, Google AdWords, Autoresponder series, affiliate mini-sites, safe lists, and you can create your own databases as well.
You can get Promo Buddy from http://www.promobuddy.com – and it’s free.
Brainstorming Software – article brainstorming software is different from article writing software, although the concept is much the same. You may or may not need brainstorming software to get started on your articles.
The best brainstorming software, however, is Brain Storm, which can be found at http://www.brainstormsw.com/writing-software.html.
Obviously, the most important software that you will need will be word processing software. You want software that will check for errors, such as Microsoft Office Word. This is an expensive program, so you can also consider free office type programs, such as http://www.openoffice.org.
Even if you have nothing more than word processing software, you can write and submit articles. Much of the available software mentioned here, however, will really save you a great deal of time, and the majority of it is free.

Spread the Word!
Serious article directories will only allow you to submit one article per week. There are, however, those that will allow you to submit as many as you want, as often as you want.
While this may be something that you want to do, you should also consider the fact that search engines don’t like it when you build too many inbound links in a short period of time.
The best thing that you can do is to write and submit one article per week. However, remember that you only want to submit one article to about ten directories each week. There is a list of the twenty top article directories in the previous section of this report. This means that you could actually write two articles each week, submitting the first one to the first ten on the list, and the second one to the second ten on the list.
Yes, it is slow – especially if you are hoping to build inbound links. But it is well worth it to take it slow, for numerous reasons. You should also consider the amount of time it takes to write and submit one article per week. Many people just don’t have that kind of time, and cannot afford to pay for a submission service.
There is another option for wider distribution in a shorter period of time. You can start building your own database of ezine publishers that accept articles in your niche. Simply visit an ezine directory, such as Ezine Locator at http://www.ezinelocater.com/. Search for ezines in your category, and look at each listing to see if they accept articles. Start adding those article submission email addresses to your Autoresponder.
Now, you can write three articles per week, and easily get them submitted. One article to ten article directories, one article to another ten article directories, and a third article sent to hundreds of ezine publishers for inclusion in their newsletter.
Because many ezine publishers put each issue of their newsletter on the Internet, you don’t want to send them the articles that you’ve published to the article directories. Use an article that you’ve written for ezine publication specifically.
Be very careful with your database of ezine publishers. Make sure that you send a request first. Simply ask them if they would like to receive articles from you for possible inclusion in their publication. If they say yes, put them in your Autoresponder. If they say no, leave them alone.
There is no maximum limit when it comes to how many articles you should submit over time. Even those marketers that have been in the game for years still write and submit articles each and every week – or they have someone do it for them at the very least.
