Your Info Products Quality versus Quantity

When it comes to information products, you we are judged on both quality and quantity. Nobody wants to pay thirty bucks for a ten page ebook – no matter what the quality of the information is. On the other hand, nobody wants to pay one buck for a fifty page ebook that is not full of quality material. They both matter in the world of information products.

The fact is that you can write a twenty page ebook that contains real, useful information, and that short ebook will always be worth more than a one hundred page ebook that is full of drivel, or information that has been spouted from other ebooks on that topic hundreds of times.

In the grand scheme of things, quality always matters over quantity. At the same time, however, with digital information products, you have to realize that your potential customers are not standing in a bookstore thumbing through your product to determine how useful it will be to them. All they really have to go by is a sales letter.

This is why quantity also comes into play in terms of digital products. People want to know how much information they are getting, and the quality of that information as well. People want and expect a great deal for their money.

This does not mean, however, that you have to strive to write a hundred page ebook that is full of useful content. If you have enough useful content to cover one hundred pages, that is fantastic. If you don’t, that is fine too – as long as the ebook has enough quality and quantity to justify the cost of the product. In the end, it comes down to what the customer is getting in exchange for the price that they are paying.

While some information product creators strive for length, many are finding great success with shorter versions of their products. People simply do not have the time – or the inclination – to sit in front of their computer screens reading a one hundred page ebook. You must keep this in mind as well.

Overall, an ebook that is between twenty and fifty pages is idyllic. If you are creating a video product, make sure that the video is broken up into sections. This will make downloading the product easier, and it will also allow people to watch shorter videos, and then come back later to watch another video.

You must also consider how people digest information. It needs to be broken up into little pieces for easier digestion. Otherwise, you are creating information overload.
