Setting Prices for Products with Resell Rights

Fixing the price of a product and a product’s resell rights will depend on you. There is no  rule that says this product can amount to only this or that much. This is why prices of products with resell rights range anywhere from a few dollars to a few thousand. How much should you ask for your product?

We all know that we have to pay higher prices for products that have a higher value. This is still true for online products and product rights. We know how it goes. Basic resell rights are the cheapest kind of resell rights. Master resell rights are more expensive than basic resell rights. Private label rights are the most expensive. Product and resell rights prices however still depend on each individual product owner. You can have one product and set different prices for different resell rights.
Set Prices for Other Rights

Another basic principle is setting one price for your product and another price for its resell rights. You can earn a little more through a variation of this principle. You can sell not just your product and product resell rights but other rights as well. You can set fees for resellers if they want to embed their own links on your product. You can also set different prices for give away rights and other similar privileges. You may however do it the other way around. You can set one price for your product and its rights to make it look like you’re offering an irresistible bargain.

You would know best as the product author how much your product and its rights are worth. If you are confident that your product has great quality, then put a high price tag on it and its rights.

Everyone knows though that if a product is no goldmine then it should neither be priced high or low. Pricing it too low will make people think that you are selling junk and no one will want to buy your product. Pricing it too high will also make it too expensive for average people to afford.

Another important aspect of pricing a product is to set limits. You should clearly specify on your terms and conditions the minimum price that you will allow for your product. While there is no legal way to inforce price limits, this will however help that your product will not lose its value by being sold for a very low price. If buyers can see that your product is being sold on one site for a buck, they might assume that it is of no value. Word spreads quickly and your product nor your resell rights will lose it’s value not only to the end user but also to other internet marketers who might have been your resell rights customers.
